September Stats & requests update

Another busy month saw Storehouse give away 74 bags during September. This was as a result of 67 requests from 12 local agencies plus some non agency requests. Thank you for your donations that have enabled us all to help these people that live in our community, but who are in difficult times.
As we continue to give this number of bags away regularly, so we need the food and toiletries to keep coming in. A big thank you to Westgate Primary School who kindly donated their harvest assembly food this past week, but still we are a bit low on the following items:
· ANY food that can be eaten without heating
· tinned meat
· tinned spaghetti, ravioli etc
· tinned vegetables
· instant mashed potato, tinned potatoes
· pasta, rice, pasta sauces
· small bags of sugar
· toothpaste, deodorant, shower gel and other toiletries

The following is copied from the insert of Chris Tomlin's latest album, "Hello Love":
On our own, we each can make a difference in the world. But collectively we are a force for good that exponentially surpasses what we can do alone. Moving together, small sacrifices from each of us can make a huge difference in the lives of people around the globe.
While the needs of the world at times appear overwhelming, we must not be deterred by their size or complexity. The most important step we can take is the very first step, and out of our abundance we can mirror to the world the heart of a Saviour who has staked his life for theirs.
We believe in this generation and their capacity to respond to the challenges that cripple hope and dignity for people throughout the world. Wedding worship and justice, this generation of believers wants to love God by loving those in need.
